Bashar Bazian

Optimus Advisory was founded by Bashar Bazian, a seasoned private & investment banker as well as a Trust and wealth manager.

With over 28 years of work experience starting in the US and then Saudi Arabia, he moved to Bahrain in 1999 to join Merrill Lynch as a private banker and on to UBS, Arab Bank and Credit Suisse. He then joined the fiduciary service provider and trust administrator Intertrust (Formerly known as Ogier/Elian) as the CEO of the Middle East.

During his many years of experience, Bashar has seen the consequences of families not having proper governance and succession planning.  He therefore decided to launch Optimus Advisory to help his clients to develop clear plans to secure their wealth and businesses for the future.

As an expert in private and investment banking, as well as in trust and administration services, Bashar understands the need to bridge the gaps for many high net worth families.  This can be achieved through structured governance.

Most importantly, families in the GCC want to  preserve their family businesses and wealth for future generations.  Bashar has established Optimus Advisory to help you preserve your legacy.

We have worked with UHNW clients in the GCC for the past 25 years on private banking, investment banking and fiduciary services side to have developed the experience and knowledge of market needs and wants. GCC merchant families and entrepreneurs have developed conglomerates and amassed vast amounts of assets and wealth over the past 40 years. Assets were acquired all over the world by these clients each by their own circumstances and opportunities. As these families grew by members and roles expanded from managing, operating, investing and acquiring assets; complexities in governance, and proper structuring became ever so important to introduce family charters and constitutions that includes generational planning and asset ring fencing.
